Occupation made the most of its emotionally engaging story of a group of survivors working together to fight an alien invasion, and the new film picks up where Occupation left off. Two years have passed since the first film, and the fight between “the resistance” and the “greys” (aliens) continues. The film’s main plot follows Matt Simmons (Dan Ewing) and alien Gary (Lawrence Makoare) as they journey from Sydney to Alice Springs in search of information about “Rainfall,” an extraterrestrial super weapon that was dispatched to Earth millennia ago. They meet Peter Bartlett (Temuera Morrison), the leader of a rural community founded in the first film, on the way.
Meanwhile, Wing Commander Hayes (Daniel Gillies) is in charge of a massive underground resistance compound where he conducts secret horrible experiments on abducted aliens in order to produce a war-winning weapon. The resistance’s internal difficulties are reflected in the great existential struggle between aliens and humans, as virtuous Amelia Chambers (Jet Tranter) wages her own struggle against Hayes. IMDB
